Terms of sale & use
Last updated: October 4, 2026
1. Purpose
These terms govern use of detektd, a web-application security scanning tool, and any paid offer purchased through it. They apply to anyone, individual or company ("the customer"), who creates an account or subscribes to an offer on detektd.com.
2. Prices and payment
- Free: €0, one passive scan per week.
- Report: €14.99 excl. tax, one-time payment, unlocks the full detail of a scan (findings and remediation).
- Pro: €39.99 excl. tax per month, per application, active scanning, automatic weekly rescan, email alerts. Each application upgraded to Pro is billed as a separate subscription.
- Studio: €99.99 excl. tax per month (or €999.99 excl. tax per year) for the whole account, unlimited applications within fair use, with the same features as Pro on every application. One subscription for the entire account.
- Sentinel: managed audit, quote on request (contact us).
Prices are in euros, excluding tax. The Report, Pro and Studio offers are sold through Stripe, acting as reseller (merchant of record): Stripe calculates, collects and remits the VAT or sales tax due in the customer's billing country, and adds it to the tax-exclusive price at checkout. For a customer in France, the Report therefore comes to €17.99, Pro to €47.99 per month and Studio to €119.99 per month, VAT included. A business customer who enters a valid VAT number is billed without VAT where the reverse charge applies. The Sentinel offer is invoiced directly by the publisher, who is under the French VAT exemption for small businesses: VAT not applicable, art. 293 B of the French tax code. Payment is processed by Stripe (card); detektd never stores card data.
3. Duration, renewal and cancellation
The Pro and Studio offers are monthly or yearly subscriptions, automatically renewed at the same price until cancelled. The customer may cancel at any time from their account's billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for: the plan's features remain active until that date, with no refund, partial or pro-rated, for the current period. The Report unlock is a single, non-recurring purchase.
4. Right of withdrawal
Under article L221-18 of the French Consumer Code, a customer acting as a consumer (an individual not acting for professional purposes) has 14 days from subscribing to exercise their right of withdrawal, without giving a reason or paying a penalty.
As detektd is a digital service delivered immediately (access to the scan or report starts on payment), a consumer customer who ticks, before paying, the box "I request immediate performance of the service and waive my right of withdrawal" expressly waives that right once the service has been fully performed, under article L221-28 1° of the Consumer Code. Customers acting as professionals do not benefit from the consumer right of withdrawal.
Standard withdrawal form
(complete and return only if you wish to withdraw from the contract, before the service is fully performed)
To Paul-Olivier Chazalette, 81 Boulevard Malesherbes, 75008 Paris, contact@detektd.com:
I hereby notify you of my withdrawal from the contract for the supply of the service below.
Ordered on: __________
Name of consumer: __________
Address of consumer: __________
Date: __________
5. Scan authorisation
By adding an application and running a scan, the customer certifies that they own the scanned domain, or are expressly authorised by its owner to have its security tested. This is certified through a dedicated checkbox before every active scan.
Passive scans (Free offer) only perform a read-only analysis of the site's publicly accessible elements and attempt no intrusion. Active scans (Pro offer) include additional tests (controlled write attempts, function invocations, rate-limit probes) and are only offered once domain ownership has been verified.
The customer is solely responsible for the accuracy of this certification and for the consequences of running a scan against a domain they are not authorised to test. detektd reserves the right to suspend or terminate, without notice or refund, any account used to scan a target without authorisation, or in a suspected fraudulent or abusive manner.
6. Liability and warranties
detektd is a vulnerability-detection aid, provided on a best-effort basis. A scan finding no issue is never a guarantee that the tested application has no vulnerability, nor a commitment of result.
To the extent permitted by law, the publisher's liability can only be engaged in case of proven fault, and total compensation, across all claims, is capped at the amount the customer paid for the service concerned over the preceding twelve months. The publisher cannot be held liable for indirect damages (lost revenue, data loss, reputational harm) or for the consequences of using the service in breach of these terms, in particular the scan-authorisation clause.
7. Mediation and applicable law
In accordance with the provisions of the French Consumer Code on the consumer dispute mediation process, if you have contacted us first and our answer did not satisfy you, you may refer the dispute, free of charge, to the following consumer mediator:

These terms are governed by French law. Absent an amicable or mediated resolution, French courts have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to the mandatory consumer-protection rules allowing a consumer to bring proceedings before the court of their own domicile.
